Increased Reliability: Utilizing Hydra-Cell “seal-less” pumps or horizontal multistage pumps for jet pump power fluid injection

Tech-Flo-s Hydra-Cell T series “seal-less” pumps or Horizontal Multistage Surface Pumps for jet pump power fluid injection provide increased reliability for less down time and expense.

INTRODUCTION

With no moving parts down hole, the jet pump is arguably the most reliable and “service-free” type of artificial lift available on the world-wide market today. Although on the surface, the traditional multiplex pump, if not properly designed or maintained, can incur operational issues that can create down time and expense for operators. This down time and expense can be significantly decreased through the use of horizontal surface pumps or the Hydra-Cell “seal-less” diaphragm pump. In combination with Tech-Flo’s patent pending jet pump, we can offer an increase in reliability for your hydraulic lift system.

The Hydra-Cell T series is available at pressures up to 5000 psi and flow rates in excess of 5400 bpd.

TECHNOLOGY

The Hydra-Cell T series pumps feature an exclusive seal-less diaphragm design that eliminates packing and plunger wear, leakage, external lubrication and emission. This results in lower cost of ownership, less maintenance a longer run life than traditional packed or stuffing box style pumps. This completely sealed pump can be very attractive to customers in environmentally sound or agricultural areas and also where emissions released through packed pumps could lead to fines or costly clean ups for operators.

The Horizontal Surface Pump is an adaptation of a down hole ESP that has been laid horizontally with a thrust chamber and conventional T frame motor to fit surface pumping applications. With a pump that was built to run in the harshest of down hole conditions, the horizontal surface pump is an industry proven and highly reliable option for jet pump power fluid injection.
The pump is supplied as an easily replaceable module. Additional pump elements can be added or “re staged” if required for changing duty conditions. Most pumps are “mixed flow” design for enhanced abrasion resistance and higher efficiency.

HYDRA-CELL T SERIES

FEATURES & BENEFITS:
  • Seal-less design eliminates leaks, hazards, and the expense associated with seals, packing and plungers
  • Low NPSH requirements allow for operation with a vacuum condition on the suction – positive suction pressure is not necessary
  • Can operate with a closed or blocked suction line and run dry indefinitely without damage, eliminating downtime and repair cost
  • Unique diaphragm design handles more abrasives with less wear than gear, screw or plunger pumps
  • Hydraulically balanced diaphragms to handle high pressure with low stress
  • Rugged construction for long life with minimal maintenance

HORIZONTAL SURFACE PUMP

FEATURES & BENEFITS:
  • Flow rates in excess of 85,000 bpd and pressures up to 6000 psi
  • Increased reliability and run time with very low maintenance
  • Low noise and vibration levels
  • Delivered to the site pre-assembled only requiring a suction and discharge flange connection and power hook up
  • The unit features a mechanical seal and stub shaft with silicon carbide faces that can operate at a pump suction pressure up to 3000 psi
  • Extremely cost effective for pad locations where one surface pump can be utilized to provide power fluid for several wells in which a down hole jet pump is installed
